Cystic Acne Pictures, photos, and pics I noticed are hard to find on the internet.

i have suffered with cystic acne since i was 19 i am still fighting the battle i have tried so many diffrent things, i am currently taking doxycycline 200mg a day and wash my whole body in antibacterial soap. it has tamed down a bit but it is still there. if you have any suggestions they would be very helpful.

Raven Lane,
First, I want to say how sorry I am that you have been suffering for this long with cystic acne. I am happy though that the meds and antibacterial soap is working to keep it “tamed down a bit,” and as far as any suggestions I may have.
I”m not sure what to suggest for you my friend, you have tried so many things already. I can only tell you what I would do ok?
One, if I hadn’t already, I would clean up my diet drastically. Lots of fruits and vegetables, fish, eggs, nuts and leafy green, cut out dairy, drink lots of water (8+ glasses a day). I would also start drinking green tea, it has been proven to help. Fast Food is an enemy of mine now, literally (high cholesterol) it should be yours now. Also, cut out highly processed foods and anything that isn’t whole grain. Though watch certain carbs because they can be a problem.
Two, I would start to exercise to burn off stress which studies show helps. Anything like walking, cycling, running if you can do it, hiking, aerobics. Though if you sweat a lot, you may want to take a change of shirt with you or shower as soon as you can after exercising.

I would keep up with the prescription you are on, and using the soap you are currently using. They are working now at least in a limited fashion. I myself have to use an antibacterial soap also, if I don’t I get boils.
