Fasting for Acne
Fasting for Acne is an excellent measure to take to cure your acne, when used the right way.
Well this has become I think the top most difficult post for me to write about. To think that fasting will help clear up your acne. From research that I have done fasting seems to be the most effective way of clearing up your skin, the reason why is because when we fast your body is getting rid of all the bad stuff in your body that may be causing the acne breakouts. This would be the toxins inside that cause the infection.
Now you’re probably wondering how long does it take for fasting to work to clear up your acne?
Research shows that it can work in as little as 5 days. Of course you’re not going to fast that long, it would not be good for the body, but what you can do is change the way you eat by eating healthier things, like fruits and vegetables, of course in their natural state not with all the syrup and things that we tend to add to fruit and vegetables.
Now you are probably wondering how do I go through with Fasting for Acne?
Well what you want to do is take a couple weeks and work on this. The first week what you are going to want to do is eat natural foods like I mentioned above. Keeping your meat intake to a minimum, for some this might be difficult, what you will want to do is find a something with protein that will substitute the need for meat. Also avoid for the first week all dairy, white carbs like pasta, breads, and your refined sugars like cookies and cakes.
You see, fasting isn’t just about cutting out all food. Fasting can be cutting your meat, white carbs, refined sugars, and dairy, Then, during this time you are boosting your wholesome natural foods like fruits and veggies, eggs, nuts, and fish. I would suggest a very good, high quality vitamin and mineral supplement and drink lots of water.
The higher intake of natural foods will serve two purposes; one is to kick up your vitamins levels in your body, and second is to kick up the fiber content for your GI tract. This will serve to clean out your intestines so they can eliminate all the waste. This is where many toxins in our bodies can come from.
Of course what you don’t want to do is stuff yourself of all the bad things before you start the fast. That will just make you feel even more terrible, so as long as you stick with the good stuff you won’t even miss the bad stuff or feel like you are fasting.
As for what kinda fast you should do there are so many out there that I am just going to mention one that I did some research on and it’s called the Lemonade Diet.
What you do is drink only the lemonade drink for 10 days. After the 10 days you will start to see a difference in your skin as the lemonade works from the inside out ridding your skin of all the toxins that are bad for it.
I started off thinking that this would be a tough topic but as you can see there is so much great information out there I hope that what we discussed today is going to help someone feel better about themselves and be able to clear up their acne with fasting.
